Thank You Letter From Ernie
Hello
to all, just wanted to let everyone know that I am home now. I
t has truly been a miracle with the help of God and all the prayers
that have been sent all across the world. God has blessed me in
so many ways, from the time of the wreck till now. I was told
by the doctor who operated on my aorta that I was a true miracle.
He told me he had never seen anyone in his career loose as much
blood and live to tell about it. So I know God has a purpose for
me some where down the road. I am so thankful to be home and so
thankful to have the friends I have, I wouldn't trade my friends
for all the money in this world.
It
is so overwhelming how great friends have been to me. My plans:
my plans are to do maybe one or two shows this year and take the
rest of the year to try and heal and build my upper body strength
so I can be as independent as I can possible be. I have a new
van to travel in and a great band who supports me, thanks to Veniese
Kennedy and Ernie Evans and all of my supporters and friends down
in the southern states of GA and FL. it is just so over whelming
how good people have been to me. I never realized how many people
I have touched through the power of music.
I would like to name and thank everyone but there are so many
it would be about impossible, Don Rigsby, Wildfire, Tom T Hall,
Lonesome river Band, Marty Rabon, Ralph Stanley the II, Junior
Blankenship the folks from the Michigan bluegrass also. John Arms.
This is not even close to being all. I know I have at least 500
get well cards. I have never felt so good about the power of friends,
this has really changed my life and my way of thinking. In this
world we take so much for granted, it seems like we can always
find things to complain about and sometimes its so hard to just
sit back and be thankful for what we do have. My family, my family
has also been so good to me, I have huge support from both sides,
I have a wonderful family and some of the greatest in-laws a person
could ever ask for, they all have been so good to me. I am such
a lucky man to have the family I have. I just wanted to write
everyone and pass along the word about being home. Everyone knows
how easy it is to get things twisted around, so I want everyone
to hear it from me. I ask everyone to forward this message to
as many bluegrass folks as you can. I just have a handful of addresses
and I just want everyone to know how grateful I am and how blessed
by God I am. I hope to see everyone in the near future so I can
thank them personally. Thanks to everyone for your time.
With
all my love,
Ernie

First time on stage!
Ernie
wanted us to put a few pictures up from his first time out on stage
with his band.
The doctors gave him leave to attend the local county fair and he took
it.
It was an emotional day and very tiring, but Ernie held in and had a
great time.
He'd like to thank all his fans and well wishers for the great event
in his recovery process!
